About India-Bhutan Foundation
The India-Bhutan Foundation was established on 29 August 2003 during the visit of the King of Bhutan (then Crown Prince) to India through an MoU signed between the Royal Government of Bhutan and the Government of India, with the aim of enhancing people-to-people exchanges through activities in mutually agreed areas, in particular, in the educational, cultural, scientific, and technical fields.
The Ambassador of Bhutan to India and the Ambassador of India to Bhutan are the Co-Chairpersons of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
